selected drawings from the sketchbooks because i feel slightly bad for the lack of updates, but being off the internet feels good. lately, i’ve only been using it for the radio. i’m also very bad at piecing together bigger-than-the-scanner drawings, sorry.
Trying to work out my feelings in a…positive way.
Roundhand Lettering Demo by Glen Weisgerber
i have no patience to do what he does, but it’s relaxing to watch. it’s cool to see the materiality of paint used in different ways. i love how he uses a small phonebook for his palette.
Hannya from Doll Zone
what can i say? i’m a fan of creepy-cute, especially when it’s wicked strange (that made more sense in my weird head). yokai, Japanese demons, are definitely my favorite genre of monsters.
my drawing was featured on Seven Days Vermont newspaper both on paper and online. click here to read the full review, if you’re interested. thanks for all the warm welcomes and positive feedbacks, Burlington!
funny how a piece i made for the hell of it seems to be the most popular… whatever it is, i must be doing something right.
from the creator of But I’m A Nice Guy, an adorably angsty game with a strong art direction. the visual atmosphere is absolutely stunning—it really shows off the art of 2D animation! i love the way the mystery builds up in the trailer too. even if you’re not a gamer, it’s worth checking out.

i like her teeth.
The Grassland Series, Screenprint #3 (Lying Head Laughing), 2008, 38½" × 29"
…that enormous, creepy, silly, happy, sarcastic, genuine, hollow smile. if you stare at it long enough, you’ll fall right into it. his work seems even stranger when you spread open Google images.
