i’m not sure whether to laugh or roll my eyes. when you go to art school or take an art history course, you learn how much blood, sweat, and tears artists put in their work to reach that point where a simple drawing is worth thousands—even millions! understandably, these are typical reactions of otherwise uninterested non-artists. while their refusal to look past the random scribbles and colors can be frustrating at times, it’s also cringe worthy that there are elitist artists, collectors, critics and historians look down on them like silly uneducated bigots.
